Fundraisers

The Hampstead PTSA is a non-profit organization. Fundraising provides the PTSA with the financial means to support the schools and community with diverse educational programs, current technology and family fun events. The PTSA's primary fundraising activities are:

	The Magazine Drive
	Box Tops for Education
	Hannaford Helps Schools

Reproducible Art Project

We are pleased to support a student artworks project this fall. This project will help to raise funds for school field trips and community events.

Each student is encouraged to create a drawing or painting at home or in school. Students may also submit a previously created masterpiece. When the artwork is completed it will be collected in the art room by October 12th and sent to SilverGraphics, where each work of art will be made into one 4"x5" print so families can see an example of their child's art. Each family may keep this print as a gift from SilverGraphics with no obligation to buy further products.

Once you receive your print, on or around October 29th, you will have the opportunity to reproduce your child's artwork onto a variety of items. SilverGraphics has some exciting products which include: a variety of environmentally friendly products, including a grocery tote, lunch bag and popular drawstring backpack; kitchen projects, including aprons, waterproof stickers, coasters with cork backings and much more. Photographs of these new products and other favorites can be viewed at www.silvergraphics.com. Samples of a selection of the available items are also exhibited in the art room at school.

We expect to have final products by December 15th, in time for gift giving over the holidays

The Magazine Drive

The magazine drive is conducted in the fall, and it is the PTSA's primary fundraiser. Children in Grades K-8 are asked to sell magazines to family and friends, and the PTSA earns 40% of each subscription sold! That's a great deal - during the 2011/2012 school year, the magazine drive netted over $15,000! Participation is completely voluntary.

If you miss the magazine drive but would still like to support the PTSA with a purchase, you can do so 24/7 year-round by visiting www.qsp.com. Remember to select either the Hampstead Central School or Hampstead Middle School as your organization & the Hampstead PTSA will earn 40% of the subscription price!

Box Tops for Education

The General Mills Box Tops for Education is a nationwide fundraising program that helps K-8 schools. The PTSA receives $0.10 for every Box Top logo remitted. During the 2009/2010 school year, the Box Tops for Education program netted $2,225!

Box Top logos are located on many General Mills products. Start saving your box tops today, and drop them off in the bucket located outside the HCS office or send them in with your child to his/her classroom teacher.

5 Bonus Box tops will be earned just by signing up at www.btfe.com. There you can find a complete list of participating products and Marketplace stores. Shop at your favorite online stores through the Box Tops Marketplace ( www.btfe.com/marketplace ). Up to 8% of each qualifying purchase is automatically donated to our school. You can also print valuable coupons and find exclusive deals on online orders.

Three contests will be held this year at the Central School - October, February and June. Two contests will be held at the Middle School in November and February.

Hannaford Helps Schools

The Hannaford Helps Schools program is a simple fundraising program offered by Hannaford Supermarkets.

It's easy to participate: simply shop Hampstead's Hannaford as you normally would, take the 'Hannaford Helps Schools' coupon given to you at check-out to the 'towers' located at the front of the store, and put your coupon in the slot labeled either 'Hampstead Middle School' or 'Hampstead Central School.' It's that easy! Forgot to put your coupon in the tower? Don't worry! Simply send it into school in an envelope marked 'PTSA.' For more information please visit www.hannaford.com.
