The Hampstead PTSA is a non-profit volunteer organization whose mission is to enhance and support the educational environment of the students, school staff and families of Hampstead. We are now seeking interest for PTSA Officers and Committee Chairs for the 2018/2019 School Year. Nomination deadline is Monday, April 30th*

It is time once again for the PTSA Nominating Committee to recruit Candidates to hold PTSA Officer positions for the next two school years. The goal of the nominating committee is to enlist the talents of as many Hampstead parents, teachers, friends and family as possible.

At our February 8th meeting the following members were voted onto the nominating committee: Molly Freilich (, Liz Bothwell (, and Ellen Cabral. The nominating committee’s responsibility is to consider all people interested in a particular PTSA position and then make informed decisions to nominate the best candidate for each position.Please review the attached information and indicate any positions that you may be interested in fulfilling. You may also wish to recommend someone you think would be an ideal recruit for a particular office.

Please fill out the Official Nomination Form and return to HMS or HCS or to a PTSA Board Member by Monday, April 30, 2018. Please note that PTSA officer elections will take place at the General Meeting on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 7:00 pm at the Hampstead Middle School Library.

Preside over all meetings of this organization; Perform such other duties as may be prescribed in the bylaws or assigned by the Hampstead PTSA;  Be an official member of all committees except the nominating committee;  Coordinate the work of the officers and committees of this local PTSA in order of the purposes promoted.

2nd Vice-President:

Shall coordinate outreach and communication of this local PTSA; Perform the duties of the 1st vice president in the absence or inability of that officer to serve.      


Record the minutes of meetings of this organization; Have a current copy of the bylaws;  Perform other duties as assigned.

The PTSA would also like to encourage any member who is looking to become more involved in our organization to consider chairing one of our programs or events. This is an excellent way to show your talents and support our schools. These programs/events cannot function without a strong leader, and we want to be able to continue to provide these fun activities for the students and families of Hampstead. The following Committee Chairs are needed (please note that extensive training and support will be provided by the current chairs):

PTSA Kids Leader

Chairperson would lead the PTSA Kids members at HMS (grades 5-8); Preside over bi-monthly meetings held at HMS to go over current programs, projects, and events; Coordinate student volunteers for various events/parties held at Hampstead Central School 

Halloween Party

Responsible for organizing 2018 Halloween Party for HCS students and families; Gather donations and supplies from local stores to use for the event, including games, crafts, food, and decorations; Process ticket sales for the party; Recruit volunteers to help with various areas of the event
